Shipping & Freight
Buying a 700 pound attachment online makes people nervous, and the reason is almost never the price. It is not knowing what happens when the truck shows up. So here is all of it, up front.
Every freight quote is residential delivery with a liftgate. Enter your address at checkout and you will see the live carrier rate before you pay anything, with the liftgate already in it — so the truck puts the pallet on the ground for you and there is nothing to add on afterward. If you are shipping to a commercial address with a dock or a forklift and you want the commercial rate instead, call or text (717) 994-8036 before you order and we will arrange it for you.
Three Ways to Get It
1. LTL freight, anywhere in the lower 48
Your freight cost is quoted live at checkout from your delivery address. It is not an estimate and it is not a placeholder — it is the carrier’s own rate for your address, and you see it, along with the transit time, before you enter a card.
We do not show a number in the cart, and that is deliberate. The cart only knows your state and ZIP, which is not enough to price freight honestly — the carrier needs the street address. Rather than show you a guess that moves later, we wait until we can show you the real one.
2. Our own truck
We run our own deliveries across Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia and West Virginia. We will go further than that too, as long as the delivery cost works for you — call and we will price the run.
Free inside 30 miles of the yard. Past 30 miles we bill the whole distance per loaded mile - typically $2.20 to $2.50 depending on the load - not just the miles past 30. So a 40 mile run is billed at 40 miles, not 10. If you are only a shade over, talk to us. Either way we will quote it exactly before you commit.
Local delivery is arranged by phone, not through the website. Call or text (717) 994-8036 before you order and we will sort it out.
3. Pick it up at the yard
29 Mail Pouch Road, McClure, PA 17841, on Route 522. Free. Choose “Pick up” instead of shipping at checkout and there is no freight charge at all. We will pull it and have it sitting ready — usually within a day — and email you when it is. Call ahead at (717) 994-8036 before you drive out so we can meet you and get you loaded.
Why We Quote Everything Residential
Freight carriers charge extra for two things: delivering to a residential address, and needing a liftgate to get the pallet on the ground. Whether an address counts as residential is the carrier’s call, not ours and not yours, and they make that call after the shipment is already moving.
So we build both in from the start. The price you see at checkout already includes residential delivery and liftgate service, which means there is nothing to true up afterward. It also means you do not need a forklift, a dock, or anybody to help you — the truck puts it on the ground.
If you genuinely are a commercial address with a dock or a forklift, you should not pay for a liftgate you will not use. Call or text (717) 994-8036 before you order and we will build your order at the commercial rate.
Knowing Where It Is
You are not left guessing once you have paid.
- Order confirmation by email as soon as you check out.
- A tracking number emailed to you once the shipment is booked with the carrier.
- Updates as it moves — when it leaves us, when the truck picks it up, when it reaches the delivery terminal, when it is loaded out for delivery, and when it is delivered.
- If it goes quiet, call or text (717) 994-8036 and we will chase the carrier ourselves rather than have you sit on hold.
What Actually Happens on Delivery Day
- The carrier calls to schedule. Somebody needs to be there. Freight carriers will not leave a heavy pallet unattended.
- The truck brings it to you and the liftgate puts it on the ground. That is included in your quote. The driver does not carry it inside, set it where you want it, or unpack it - he gets it off the truck and onto your driveway or the edge of the job site.
- Think about where the truck can actually get. A 53 foot trailer needs room to turn around. A long narrow lane, a soft field, or a steep driveway is worth a phone call before you order.
- We build our own pallets. Most attachments ship on a pallet we make and strap ourselves, sized to the item, so it arrives the way it left.
If anything looks damaged, write it on the delivery receipt before the driver leaves. This is the single most important thing on this page. A freight claim is very hard to win once you have signed a clean receipt. Note the damage, take photos, then call us and we will handle it from there.
Buying More Than One
Two attachments on one pallet almost always ship cheaper than two separate shipments. So if you want more than one, call or text (717) 994-8036 before you order. We will combine the items, build the pallet, and quote you real freight — usually less than the website would have taken. Bundle pricing starts at four attachments.
Timing
- We pull, pallet and tender the shipment as fast as we can get it on a truck - usually within a couple of business days.
- LTL transit is typically 3-7 business days depending on how far you are from Central Pennsylvania.
- Local delivery and yard pickup can usually be arranged within a day or two.
- If you are on a deadline, tell us before you order and we will tell you honestly whether we can hit it.
Paying For It
Ordering online: you pay at checkout. Shopify handles the payment and it takes all the major credit and debit cards, including American Express. There is no surcharge — whatever the processor charges is already built into our price. We do not offer net terms.
At the yard, or paying the driver on one of our own deliveries:
- Cash is good anywhere we go.
- A card — we carry a Square reader, so you can pay by card in person.
- A check is fine if you are in Pennsylvania.
- Outside Pennsylvania it is cash. We can sometimes take a cashier’s check, but only if the run puts us at a bank during banking hours — so ask before you count on it rather than have it turn into a problem at the tailgate.
On phone and bulk orders we can also take a wire transfer or Zelle. If in doubt, sort the payment out on the phone before delivery day. Call or text (717) 994-8036.
Questions Before You Order
Freight is the part of this business with the most ways to go sideways, and we would rather talk it through than have you guess. Call or text (717) 994-8036, or use the contact form. Same-day answer on almost everything.
