Skid Loader Attachments

Skid loader, skid steer, skid steer loader — same machine, three names. Around Central PA most people say skid loader, so that is what we call it too. This page explains how the mounts work, which one your machine has, and what actually fits it. The attachments we carry are listed further down.

Will It Fit My Skid Loader?

Almost everything comes down to which mounting plate is on the front of your machine. There are four in common use, and they are not interchangeable with each other.

Machine Mount What that means
Full size skid loader / skid steer Universal quick attach The industry standard plate, sometimes called the Bobcat-style or ISO plate. Two levers on the machine drop pins through a matching frame on the back of the attachment. Nearly every full size skid steer built in the last 25 years has it, regardless of brand.
Mini skid loader / compact utility loader Common interface The mini-machine standard, often called the Dingo mount after the Toro machine that popularised it. Ditch Witch, Vermeer and most compact utility loaders use it as well. It is a different design from universal quick attach, not a smaller copy of it, and the two do not interchange.
Bobcat MT series Bobcat MT Bobcat’s own pattern on its MT mini track loaders. It looks like a scaled-down universal quick attach — same shape, same idea, just smaller — and nothing like a common interface plate. Because it is its own size, neither a full size universal attachment nor a common interface one will fit it.
Tractor front end loader Euro / global hitch The European standard, found on most tractor front end loaders. Two hooks lift over a top bar and two pins lock underneath. It is a different system from skid steer quick attach entirely — crossing between the two takes an adapter.

Hydraulic flow

Attachments that run off the machine’s auxiliary hydraulics also need the right flow and pressure. There is no rule of thumb worth quoting here — it is different for every attachment, and a number that is right for one is wrong for the next. Where we have the figure it is in the specifications table on the product page. Your machine’s output is on its spec sheet, and usually on a decal in the cab. Send us the model and we will tell you whether it will run what you are looking at.

Not sure what you have? Send us the make and model of your machine. We need the model either way — hydraulic flow varies by model and no photo will tell us that. A photo of the front of your loader alongside it helps us confirm the mount, but the model is the part that actually answers the question. Text both to (717) 994-8036 and we will tell you straight before you buy — including when the answer is that it will not fit.

Full Size Skid Loader Attachments

Everything here runs the universal quick attach plate and fits any standard-flow skid loader or skid steer. The one full size item we sell that is not universal quick attach is the 48" Euro mount pallet forks, built for tractor front end loaders.

Mini Skid Loader Attachments

For mini skid loaders and compact utility loaders on the common interface mount — Toro Dingo, Ditch Witch, Vermeer and most compact utility loaders. Bobcat MT machines run their own mount, so they need attachments built for the MT pattern; the MT bucket below is one.
